We have preached our message of freedom to the people of Buikwe district. We charged them to be part of the protest vote if they are to reclaim their lakes that have been a source of livelihood for their predominantly fishing community. We also condemned the persistent violence by the criminal regime security forces that have made it a hobby to brutalize our peaceful supporters during our campaigns. They claim that we hold processions on public roads which according to them is against the guidelines. We have held our first rally at Butema playground in Njeru municipality, Buikwe after wading through episodes of regime police brutality. Teargas has been the norm throughout our journey, with masked men in security uniforms unleashing force on our peaceful supporters. These are partisan, criminal minded police officers deliberately knocking our peaceful supporters to push them off the road, and spraying them with pepper spray. They find pleasure in hurting others. But make no mistake - these are part of the small clique within the forces who are trained to hate and hurt the people. They're under a delusion that they're part of the system. This video shows people 'escaping' from Museveni's rally in Rubanda district. The regime, left with nothing to offer, ferries people including school children to Museveni's rallies, and orders all civil servants to attend them in order to project big numbers. Like all other places, after ferrying people to these rallies, the military blocks them from leaving until dictator Museveni comes, so they can have pictures showing many people. As someone explains in this video, at times people have to lie that they want to go and ease themselves in order to be allowed to leave. The people here PROTESTED by running away from the rally.
