They did all sorts of things to bar us from getting to our only venue that we had been granted. The usual tear gas shots, arrests and impounding of Boda Bodas belonging to our supporters but still, the conviction of our masses was not fully suppressed. We were able to gather at the Aga Khan grounds where we made our last minute call to our people as we wind up our campaign trail. We called on them to go to their respective polling stations on Thursday and cast their votes in favor of the umbrella symbol. The regime may again continue to deploy their intimidation tactics to the last day, but we must remain peaceful and resilient. The vote is our only weapon that we must cast and jealously defend. #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower

Hey @elonmusk, as you cheer the fall of a dictator in Venezuela, here in Uganda your @Starlink has disabled citizens' access to its internet just days to the January 15th election in which we seek to peacefully end Museveni’s 40-year-old dictatorship! Like other dictators, Museveni has suffocated free expression, engaged in mass killings, brutally persecuted the opposition, and suppressed citizens' rights - among other atrocities. Please reactivate Starlink internet access in Uganda so that citizens can be able to communicate and stand a fair chance at shaping their destiny. Democracy dies in darkness!

Very sad to hear that Dr. Kizza Besigye's health has continued to deteriorate while in detention, having been denied access to proper medical care.
