17 days since he was abducted, and 6 days since the military said he is under their custody, Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Ssekabira Deusdedit remains under incommunicado detention! He is not being held in any gazetted place of detention. He has not been produced in any court. Neither his family nor the leadership of the Church has been allowed access to him. Final rally held at Kachumbala County in Bukedea district. The people of Teso have not succumbed to intimidations and threats that had taken shape before we made it to Bukedea. Their courage and presence at our rally obviously communicates that the masses cannot be silenced by a handful of individuals who wield state power. This is what the protest vote is all about. Our campaigns have kicked off in Ngora town where we’ve been joined by Ampe Lawrence, a former prisons officer who has been sacked for speaking out against injustice. The same regime has not apprehended several officers in uniform seen indulging in partisan politics. That aside, the people of Ngora have embraced our message of the revolution.
