Today was a very special day as we held prayers for Dr. Kizza Besigye and all the other political prisoners at Dr. Besigye's home in Kasangati. We were joined by the families of political prisoners from across the different fronts. We are very grateful to Hon. Winnie Byanyima for accepting to host us, and for her very warm reception and words of encouragement amidst the repression and grave violations of rights. We are very grateful to Rev. Father Kabogoza and Rev. Bob Musamali for leading us in prayer and for giving us very powerful words of encouragement. Above all, we are grateful to Dr. Kizza Besigye for sending us a message of encouragement and hope. Despite being in prison, he sent us a generous financial contribution towards the last lap of our campaigns. For this, we're very grateful. In my communication, I appreciated the families of the political prisoners for being very resilient and for doing everything possible to keep pressuring the regime to free their people. The same DPP who has refused to transfer the cases of our comrades, the political prisoners from the military court to civilian courts despite the Supreme Court ruling, this week dropped charges against three NRM MPs accused of corruption and abuse of office. This same DPP recently dropped charges against Museveni's minister Amos Lugoloobi, who was accused of stealing ironsheets for the poor. This is the same DPP who each day sanctions trumped-up charges against our people in order to keep them in long periods of detention! 15th January is judgment day against all this nonsense. The COURT OF THE PEOPLE will sit to free all those under illegal detention and ensure that NEVER AGAIN shall institutions of the state be used against the people. The #ProtestVote2026 can turn things around and bring to an end the sickening injustices against our people.
At Kajjansi clays playground in Busiro South where we delivered our message of liberation. The provocative regime security operatives deployed their usual repressive tactics to break the spirits of our people and prevent them from attending our final rally. Throughout our journey, we have witnessed violent scenes of the regime police operatives brutalizing citizens who simply brandished the National Flag. Despite all this, we have been able to preach our gospel of regime change and rallied our people to turn up in large numbers next week and cast their vote in support of the umbrella symbol. #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower

ABDUCTED: We've been informed of the abduction of our Head of Mobilisation, comrade Buwembo Habib this afternoon on Masaka Road. He was abducted alongside comrades Jamila Wa Bobi and Batabaale Ronald, who is also a candidate. Zziwa Robert was abducted yesterday. They join a long list of our other comrades who have been disappeared and are being held incommunicado or slapped with trumped up charges. These cowardly tactics have never saved dictators from the inevitable fall. #FreeUgandaNow
