Earlier today, I addressed the nation on matters of the struggle including: 1. 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫. Starting next week, we shall be travelling across the country to establish party offices and meet with party leaders, members and supporters. Our first stop will be Mbarara District, where we shall be on Monday 28th August to open our offices there. We shall thereafter interact with party members and supporters at Global High School Playground. In due course, we shall share a detailed program of the tour. We have already complied with all legal requirements and notified the relevant district authorities. 2. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚. I just returned from the United States where I have spent the past several days engaged in a number of activities intended to further isolate, weaken and dislodge dictator Museveni. Among others, I attended the official launch of the documentary film, “Bobi Wine: the People’s President”. The documentary exposes dictator Museveni for what he truly is: a murderous tyrant that has no regard democracy, human life or dignity. It will soon be available for viewing on Netflix, the National Geographic, and other online channels. In addition to the documentary premiere, I also attended the NUP Diaspora Convention organized by freedom fighters based in USA. We used the opportunity to interact with each other and renew our commitment towards bringing to its logical conclusion the struggle for freedom in Uganda. I was particularly delighted to learn from the comrades of the considerable diplomatic progress we have made in persuading the American government to revise its policy towards Uganda. For far too long, the western world has been the wind beneath the wings of dictator Museveni’s brutal reign. It is about time that that dark chapter in our history ended. 3. 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. We are keenly following the scandals unravelling in sister political parties. Evidently, dictator Museveni is busy at work trying to purchase more opposition parties as he did with especially UPC and DP whose leaders he compromised to work for him. Even in NUP, a few of our leaders have already exposed themselves in public. These are just some of the self-serving individuals who join us for purposes of manipulating the connection we have with the people to secure positions for themselves in Parliament and elsewhere. To compound this, some media houses have been hired by the regime to sell the false narrative we have a rift in NUP. Nevertheless, I am confident of the oppressed people’s ability to know how to handle those who enable and profit from their misery. No matter what he does and how many opposition politicians or parties he buys off, dictator Museveni should know that he will never buy off the desire for change in the hearts of the people of Uganda. Ugandans want to be free from him. They will be free!
The man who has manipulated our Constitution and elections several times to remain in power while claiming that it's 'the people' don't want him to go away is the same man now acting like a fugitive, 'protecting' himself from the same people he claims to love him. Tozanyisa obudde!
Some of the scenes from the closing ceremony of @NUP_Ug's Diaspora Convention of 2023 in Washington DC. Thank you all comrades who spared your resources to make the Convention a success. Our struggle against the dictator continues! https://t.co/L1E67cHDvT
Yesterday, I addressed Ugandans living in the diaspora at the 3rd NUP Diaspora Convention of USA that is currently underway in Washington DC. I appreciated our diaspora comrades for generously funding the Convention and supporting activities of the struggle back home, contrary to the regime's false claims that we are backed by foreigners. I also acknowledged their dedication to the struggle and emphasised the vital role they play in maintaining momentum, advocating for change worldwide, and exposing the atrocities of the Museveni regime. Besides uniting comrades, the main purpose of this convention is to quicken the end of Museveni's dictatorship. Once that is done, we shall embark on building a new, free and prosperous Uganda that guarantees equal service and opportunity to all citizens. The duty to redeem Uganda ultimately rests with us, its citizens, and not anyone else. I concluded by rallying our comrades in the diaspora to renew their commitment to the cause, and urged them to continue taking all necessary action to free Uganda.
Five years ago today during the Arua Municipality by-election, dictator Museveni’s guards shot dead our brother comrade Yasin Kawuma in a failed attempt on my life. He was first of the many martyrs that our struggle against Museveni's misrule has registered along the way. We continue doing our best to support his family, and to push forward with the struggle as that is the only way to ensure that his death was never in vain. May his soul, like the rest of our fallen comrades, keep resting well. #WeAreRemovingaDictator
Do not be loyal to any political party or to any individual, not even me. Just loyal to the truth. Be real! https://t.co/dHmmRdqys1
