Comrade Kemigisha Sharon, the Woman Councillor for Wandegeya Parish, was abducted on Friday evening. Her whereabouts remain unknown. We demand for her unconditional release and that of all other abductees and political prisoners! #BringBackOurPeople #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners https://t.co/1zr4zUEhYQ
It’s a #StarThing, they wouldn’t understand! Ugandan freedom struggle to the world. @SAGawards @sagaftra #Hollywood #BobiWineThePeoplesPresident https://t.co/AIOYlnLrQS
I was hosted in the @WNYCStudios to talk about the trials we faced while capturing the Museveni regime brutality depicted in the "Bobi Wine: The People's President" documentary. Listen to the interview here https://t.co/J2hmBhPzDX
I have received the very sad news of the passing of my friend, comrade Adam Mulwana, an artiste and political activist who dedicated his life to the cause for the freedom of Uganda. When I last interacted with him, he was as devoted to the struggle as ever, despite his ailing health. Such a pity he has passed on without seeing the kind of country he so much desired to live in. The best we can do for him is to accomplish the mission for which he sacrificed immensely. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
I think we can all agree that it is not for violating the law that hundreds of NUP/ PeoplePower supporters have suffered abduction, arrest, torture, prosecution and even death for putting on the #PeoplePower red berets. They endure that persecution simply because they oppose Museveni and his criminal regime. That's why NRM's Lilian Aber (Woman MP Kitgum District) can freely put on the full UPDF uniform and nothing is done to her — just like many other regime apologists have gotten away with similar conduct! Good enough, history is a kind judge.
I am saddened by the news of the death of Namibia's President H. E. Dr. Hage Geingob. As the first post-independence Prime Minister of Namibia, President Geingob was a visionary champion of constitutionalism and democracy. He was a statesman who dedicated his life to the liberation and prosperity of his people in Namibia, as well as to the advancement of Africa's interests on the global stage. On behalf of myself and the National Unity Platform, I extend my heartfelt condolences to President's Geingob's family, his party, and the people of Namibia. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Jeremiah is Olivia Lutaaya's son. By the time Olivia was abducted before being arraigned before the military court, Jeremiah was making 4 years of age. He is now 7 years of age! Ethan, is a son to Kibalama John Bosco. By the time his father was abducted on 3rd June, 2019, Ethan was not yet born. Ethan has never seen his father. John Ddamulira is a son to John Ddamulira. By the time his father was abducted in 2020, he was not yet born. He just made 3 years last month. He has never seen his father. Does Museveni think or care about children like these? When these children grow up and are told what the Museveni regime did to their parents, what will they think? How will they act? We must individually and collectively do some reflection and work hard to build a country at peace with itself!
You may join us in supporting the education of a child of a political prisoner, a deceased comrade or missing person. God bless! https://t.co/hUkL4u5Gwj
This afternoon, we continued our tradition of standing with the distressed families of political prisoners, those who were abducted and are still missing, as well as those who paid the ultimate price in the name of our struggle for democracy and freedom. While children are planning to go back to school, you can imagine the pain and sorrow these families have to endure. You can imagine the burden these single parents and other relatives have to bear to stand in the gap. Currently, we have 189 verified children of our comrades who have been either extra-judicially killed, illegally detained or disappeared by the Museveni regime. We shared with these families some scholastic materials as well as some contribution towards school fees. We appreciate our friends who have taken on the school-fees burden of 20 of these children, and call upon all citizens of good will to get in touch with our welfare office and join this effort. God bless. #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersinUganda #BringBackOurPeople
Today was a day of joy as we celebrated the graduation of several comrades who have been part of the @NUP_Ug's Institutions League. In the afternoon, we held a luncheon in their honour to congratulate them upon their feat and appreciate them for balancing struggle work with academics. They branded us hooligans and we told them: YES WE ARE PROUD HOOLIGANS.
