Mr. @UN Secretary General, @antonioguterres, it is disappointing that on your visit to Uganda, you have not spoken for the millions of Ugandans and other Africans in the region, oppressed by your host- a renowned brutal dictator, Gen. Museveni! Your presence in Africa (specifically in Uganda) would have made more sense if you addressed the real issues - gross human rights violations, rigging of elections, military trials of political opponents, the plunder and humanitarian crisis in the DRC, etc. While you spoke at Munyonyo, opposition leaders including myself are either under house arrest, or on the run from the military! Museveni recently closed down the UN Human Rights Office. How can you come all the way and not say anything about these issues? The UN must stand on the values it purports to represent. Otherwise, it'll be reduced to a club of tyrants and attract resistance from the suffering people of the world.

DICTATOR MUSEVENI REMOVES WHATEVER WAS LEFT OF THE MASK! He no longer wants to pretend. He has decided to appoint renowned NRM cadres to the Electoral Commission- a clear message to Ugandans that he has no intention of ever holding a free and fair election! The pack is led by Mr. Simon Byabakama Mugenyi as Chairperson. Mr. Byabakama presided over the sham 2021 presidential election in which he declared false results indicating dictator Museveni as the 'winner'. He was also the lead prosecutor in the trumped-up rape case against Dr. Kizza Besigye who had sought to challenge Museveni in the 2006 election, and later the bogus PRA treason case. Stephen Tashobya is a senior cadre of NRM which he represented as MP for Kajara County. Kasule Robert Sebunya is another NRM cadre and the immediate former MP for Nansana Municipality on the NRM ticket. It is widely believed he usurped that victory. Anthony Okello is another cadre of NRM which he represented as MP for Kioga County. Okello survived lynching in 2017 when he attempted to force his constituents to agree to the removal of the constitutional presidential age limit. The other members are also said to be renowned sympathisers of Museveni and his criminal regime. Museveni shamelessly sees nothing wrong with putting such people in charge of a commission that should be impartial, organising free and fair elections! If this is not enough provocation to the people of Uganda, I don't know what ever will be! It is time for all Ugandans and friends of Uganda to see that we are entirely on our own, and rise to the occasion so that we redeem our nation from this absolute mess!

Last night, we visited the streets of Kampala to share some food with our people who are homeless. Only those who have slept hungry for lack of food or slept on the street before would understand the pain which these people go through every day. We thought it was important to share with them the first supper of the new year and give them words of encouragement. It is also important to raise their plight, because they end up on the streets for different reasons. Such people must be thought about as we plan and strive to build a nation where all citizens live in dignity.
