Joined our senior comrade Hon. Betty Nambooze Bakireke and other leaders from NUP to lay to rest her father, mzee Ssetuba Peter Kayongo, in Mende, Wakiso District. Mzee Ssetuba succumbed to an illness last Saturday. Listening to the eulogy of Hon. Nambooze, I couldn't help but feel pity for Mzee Kayongo and other Ugandans who spent their youth fighting to establish a democratic country only to end up shortchanged by Mr. Museveni who had all along postured as a patriot. Thankfully, through comrades like Hon. Nambooze, Mzee Kayongo's dream continues to live on in the pursuit of justice, freedom, and dignity for all Ugandans. May his soul rest in peace.
