Some of the vehicles whose occupants have caused mayhem in Kiruhura District earlier today. They arrested over 50 of our supporters and apprehended over 30 boda-bodas. They had armed thugs with sticks to beat up our people in an attempt to demobilise our activities! They were paying people 20,000 each in order to put on Museveni's t-shirts. They removed our posters and replaced them with Museveni's posters. The criminal regime did not want to face the embarrassment of their lives in Museveni's backyard. We had passed Rushere, and our people were waving and screaming with excitement from a distance because they had been intimidated! They can beat-up, imprison and intimidate the bodies, but not the spirits of our people! #FreeUgandaNow
We captured, on camera, some of the crooks who were given sticks to beat up our people and block them from attending our activities in Kiruhura. These criminals foolishly believe that Uganda belongs to them forever. They cannot comprehend that there were governments before and Uganda will be here after Museveni! #FreeUgandaNow
We have spent the entire day campaigning through Kazo and Kiruhura districts as per our scheduled program. We encountered groups of well mobilized goons clad in yellow T-shirts armed with sticks to launch attacks at us under the protection of the regime police. We have used very remote dusty routes to get to the people. In Kazo district, the road was maliciously graded a day prior perhaps to try to affect our vehicles from swiftly getting to the venue. We found hardships driving through. In Kiruhura district, we were informed by locals that the regime area RDC had spent the entire night instilling fear in the people and making threats that they would reprimand anyone who would attend our rally. We were informed that in the dead of Tuesday night, our posters were torn down by the regime security personnel on the orders of the RDCs and several of our area coordinators were dumped in police cells. After failing to demobilize people from waving at us on the roadside as has been the norm wherever we have been, the criminal regime has resorted to arming vigilante groups with sticks to provoke and launch attacks at us. This is what just happened in Sanga town. Utterly shameful! #FreeUgandaNow

WATCH: Crowds of people whom the regime hired to attend its rally in Kumi District are seen stranded on the streets because they were not given any transport to return to their places of origin!
