We have spent the day in Buvuma District on the invitation of our comrade and District Member of Parliament, Hon. Susan Mugabi Nakaziba. We opened the @NUP_Ug office in the district before heading to a Women's Day Event organised to empower women. At the event, Hon. Nakaziba donated several items to groups of women, and hospital beds to a health facility she recently set up and handed over to the district. Later, we addressed a rally where we charged our people to prepare for the #ProtestVote2026. We concluded the day's activities by checking on the health facility constructed by Hon. Nakaziba. I am very grateful to the people of Buvuma who came in their thousands to receive us. I am also grateful to the people of Kiyindi landing site who waited for us to return and gave us such a warm reception. We shall get there! Our struggle shall end in victory. #PeoplePowerOurPower
Like many Ugandans, I am captivated and greatly inspired by the story of my friend @ZohranKMamdani. Born and raised in Uganda, he's defied all odds in USA where he has risen from 'just another immigrant' to being a top contender for the Mayorship of none other than New York City! That he is courageously anchoring his campaign on values distinguishes him as a global patriot who truly seeks to create a better world where everyone is equal, matters, and lives a life of dignity. In Zohrani, I see a generation rising to shape a better future. I thank him for standing with our cause for freedom back in Uganda, and wish him the very best of luck in his bid for the Mayorship. The Vice Chancellor of Kyambogo University Eli Katunguka has dismissed the @NUP_Ug Head of Institutions and current Guild President of Kyambogo University, comrade Akiso Benjamin from the University! His crime? Leading his fellow students in a peaceful protest against unfair tuition policies targeting students from poor families. Museveni and his enablers have taken over all public institutions and doing everything possible to silence any kind of dissent. While we explore legal remedies for this brother, this is a reminder of why we must work hard in unity to put an end to this mess. I salute you comrade Akiso for remaining strong amidst this ordeal. You did not commit any crime for standing up for justice and fairness. History will be kind to you. #FreeUganda
