Even amidst all the intimidation, brutality and the police confrontations, the people of Mukono have not backed down. They have joined us at Kasawo in Nakifuma for our second rally. Throughout our journey, we have witnessed multiple scenarios where police and security operatives have been attacking peaceful civilians who had gathered on the sidelines of the road to wave at us. Of course the criminal regime will not speak about such incidents but will ironically accuse the victims of their brutality and shield the perpetrators like the norm has been. But we know that as day follows night, the oppressed people of Uganda shall have the last laugh. A vote for the umbrella is a vote for good governance, servant leadership and a people centered government that will respect rights for all. Thank you Mukono for showing up in large numbers! #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower
Chants and cheers in Kasawo, Nakifuma a short while back. Thank you Mukono! #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower https://t.co/y13cQxIvFn
We have been greeted by another episode of provocations by the regime police in Mukono. They thought using teargas would break us down, but our vision for a refined New Uganda has kept us going. #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower https://t.co/a7TYfJQT7n
A visit to Omutaka Namutwe, Katikkiro w’essiga kyagambidwa of the Mbogo clan in Ssonde, Mukono. We’ve tapped into his blessings ahead of our campaign trail today. #ProtestVote2026 https://t.co/T3TZp0Q84t
We don’t know what degree of police brutality awaits us today but we are already on the road to Mukono. We are driven by hope and courage. The journey to freedom is not easy but we must keep going. #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower https://t.co/7H1IQDHULz
A few weeks back, the NRM Secretary General led their supporters in doing real military drills, not just a parade. The response from Kituuma Rusoke, Mwesigwa Frank, Felix Kulayigye and the other regime factionaries? SILENCE. We even wrote to Byabakama pointing out the double standards in our electoral processes. His response? SILENCE. Here is another group of their supporters at a parade. Again, you will not hear those criminals say anything about this, while our comrades rot in jail for apparently participating in a parade, even when most of those detained were not even present! This injustice and oppression will definitely come to an end. #ProtestVote2026 is the answer! #FreeUgandaNow
