RT @DailyMonitor: The National Unity Platform (@NUP_Ug) presidential candidate, Mr Robert Kyagulanyi, alias @HEBobiwine, has once again bee…
The military and police having blocked and hounded us away from Amuria District a few moments ago where we had paid for and booked accommodation to spend the night, we decided to count our losses and travel to Soroti tonight. But now, in Otuchopi as we were about to enter Soroti city, the military and police have once again blocked us saying they can't allow us to the alternative accommodation we had booked there! We don't know what they're planning now but as I recently informed the world, we are aware that the Museveni regime plans to assassinate me before voting day!
Encountered another roadblock on the highway to Soroti. We are still held up and we have not yet accessed our preferred destination for accommodation! #FreeUgandaNow https://t.co/8no2pwttAU
We have been informed of the abduction of Bitumu Hussein, the personal assistant to Hon. Nalukoola Erias Luyimbazi. Apparently the young man took a boda-boda from Tula, and another man (regime operative) jumped onto it and ordered the rider to move to Namere where they found a white drone into which Husseing was pushed. He was then driven to an unknown destination. His whereabouts remain unknown. Absurd what our country Uganda has been turned into! #FreeUgandaNow #StopAbuseOfPowerUg
An eventful day of campaigning in Kapelebyong and Katakwi has ended in sorrow with the regime police yet again applying brutal force on us. They attempted to impound our sound system and used brutal force on innocent people who had gathered to listen to us! Despite all this, we preached our message of freedom to the people of Teso and urged them not to be deceived by the regime that has to date never compensated them for their cattle that was looted during the LRA war! #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower
We are still held up at Amucu, along Amuria road. The criminal regime security operatives do not want us to proceed to Amuria district where we are supposed to spend the night! #FreeUgandaNow https://t.co/jNE6hWVw2c
WE ARE BEING HELD BY THE MILITARY AND POLICE AT A ROADBLOCK THEY MOUNTED IN A SWAMP IN AMUCU ALONG ARMURIA ROAD! WE WERE TRAVELLING TO HAVE OUR LAST RALLY OF THE DAY IN AMURIA DISTRICT BUT THEY ALSO MADE THAT IMPOSSIBLE. WE'RE NOT SAFE!
Faced with growing international condemnation over the many videos and pictures of the brutality meted out on the people of Uganda on a daily basis, the criminal regime has resorted to criminalising the recording of the military and police as they brutalise citizens! On Monday, Charles Muvawala, a Ugandan born U.S. citizen was violently arrested from Rubaga, assaulted and his phone taken away because he was recording security operatives as they beat up, tear-gassed and pepper-sprayed our supporters. He has been charged with computer misuse and remanded to Luzira Prison up to 23rd Dec when his case will come up again. As laughable as it sounds, the regime claims that he recorded the videos and shared them with people who had not solicited them! More reason why our people must use their cameras to record every incident because even these criminals understand how effective it is. Ultimatel, all that evidence will come in handy some time! #FreeUgandaNow #FreeCharlesMuvawala
RT @NUP_Ug: We are in KAPELEBYONG, AMURIA and KATAKWI today #ANewUgandaNow #ProtestVote2026 #PeoplePowerOurPower https://t.co/CL2hE9BGq4
Comrade Muvawala Charles was violently arrested after our visit to Bulange on Monday. The soldiers targeted him for apparently recording them as they brutalised our supporters! He is being held at Nateete Police Station alongside 42 other comrades! We're now close to 600 of our people who have been illegally arrested since the campaigns started. This is not a sign of strength. It's a sign of fear on the part of the regime. Either way, these criminal tactics have never saved despots from an inevitable fall. Let's keep the foot on the pedal. #FreeUgandaNow #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersinUganda
